Dr. Walsh-Cole's education and experience serve to reinforce her core philosophy:

"We really do strive to be the best, to provide the best, and to treat the best."

With enthusiasm for education and a passion for perfection, Mary A.
Walsh-Cole, D.M.D., refers to herself as a perpetual student. Even with 25 years experie nce in dentistry, she continues to take courses and evaluate new technology as she earns outstanding grades from the people she cares about the most—her patients.

In addition to her formal education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and a General Practice Residency at USC, Dr. Walsh-Cole’s greatest lessons come from her patients. She has been in private practice in Encinitas since 1984, assisting patients with all types of general dentistry. Her compassionate nature and eye for aesthetics has allowed her practice to excel and become exclusively devoted to comprehensive restorative and cosmetic procedures, including cosmetic veneers and crowns, implant restorations, full mouth rehabilitations, and TMJ therapy.

“We see transformations in patients all the time with improved self-images.”

What she has learned, she has put into practice. Patients who sought her help improving their discolored or crooked teeth now show off their dazzling smiles at every opportunity. Patients whose teeth had worn down over time were restored and now glow with confi dence. Patients with chronic pain from headaches and jaw pain are relieved with TMJ treatments.

Her own goal of continuing education always translates into outstanding care for her patients, whether it is her Fellowship in 1995 and Mastership in 2005 from the Academy of General Dentistry, or courses including Advanced Cosmetics, Full-Mouth Reconstruction, and Occlusion from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Asked in 1999 to serve on the 3M-Espe Council for Innovative Dentistry, Dr. Walsh-Cole learned even more by evaluating new products and techniques.

While she has done her homework on the technologies of digital x-rays, soft tissue laser therapy, and laser detection of cavities that she uses in her practice, Dr. Walsh-Cole also brings a softer side to patient care, offering spaquality comforts, such as noise-canceling headphones and aromatherapy neck pillows.
